As part of this year’s Melbourne Food & Wine Festival, I was invited to TarraWarra Estate’s 3 Local Winemakers + A Gin Man event. This event featured TarraWarra’s Winemaker / General Manager Clare Halloran, Frank D’anna from Hoddles Creek, Timo Mayer from Mayer/ Gembrook Hill, and former winemaker-turned-gin man – Andrew Marks. Upon arrival, we were able to try Andrew’s gin in a special pop-up gin bar, on TarraWarra’s recently deck and of course some pre-dinner nibbles. This was followed by a four course meal prepared by TarraWarra’s executive chef Robin Sutcliffe, and matched with wines by the local winemakers.
